This came from nowhere the other day, attached to an email, no name or text in the body.

It’s the solution to an OLD maze from 2012: Shift Spiral Spin [Maze]

Please, come forward and take credit! I can tag you on socials or link to any projects you have going on.

I’d love to know how you found it! I try to post them to my maze board on Pinterest if I remember. There are a ton here and on my Instagram, or my maze Instagram.

Well, I’ve been blogging for a while now, and I enjoy the “stats” quite a bit.ย  (I love the search terms that lead people here.)ย  Lately I’ve been seeing the number of reads, likes, and followers go up… but the comments are staying about the same.ย  I also wonder if the people following & clicking the “โ˜… Like” button actually like my posts, or if they’re just web-bots, or looking for links back to their own blog.

I do a lot of my following with Google Reader, not on WordPress.ย  Google seems to do a better job of handling non-WordPress blogs in with the WordPress blogs.ย  The only problem is that my +1‘s or โ˜†‘s or probably don’t get back to WordPress authors (or other blog authors) as likes.

So, this thing happened…

CBS Pittsburgh’s Most Valuable Blogger Awards 2011

There was blogging, there was voting.ย  There was certainly some goofiness.ย  I still haven’t been contacted by anyone at CBS.ย  I know other bloggers have.ย  Just so they know, the contact form on my blog works quite well.ย  There was something about prizes, but the rules detailing how one could claim a prize are gone.ย  I really thought I had no chance of winning, as there are so many cool blogs out there.ย  I’m not sure what kind of bragging rights this gives me.ย  Do I get a T-shirt or stickers or something?ย  “Hey, I’m annoying and goofy on the internet!”

It’s good to know that I’m the people’s choice, and not the editor’s choice.ย  I blog for the people, not for the editors.ย  I bet I won begrudgingly.ย  Ha ha.ย  They were probably all like “Oh crap, not that one!”.ย  I have to say thank you to whoever nominated me, and thank you for all my friends & family (& readers – who most likely fall into one of the aforementioned groups) who voted!

I call shenanigans on Only In Pittsburgh & Beyond Willpower not winning at least one “choice” in their respective categories.ย  It’s also odd that some of the people’s choice & editor’s choice were the same thing…ย  Why not spread the love?ย  I will go all mushy on you now, & say that everyone wins here, because we all got some exposure & hopefully traffic to our blogs that we might not have had before.ย  I’ve even added a few of these to my WordPress reader/feed.ย  Go check out all the blogs and their descriptions, and see if there’s something that piques your interest!

It’s weird how things interconnect all the time… like thoughts that occur throughout a week or month that are seemingly connected to other random things.

Recently I wrote about Spaceballs 3D.

Uncle John’s Bathroom Reader recently blogged about some crazy toilets.ย  (You have to see #10.ย  Seriously.)

I saw something on twitter about an Admiral Ackbar Toilet and was moved to re-tweet.

Certainly this is a toilet worthy of Uncle John’s list, and of moichandizing moichandizing moichandising!

Yeah, I’m entering a contest via this blog post.ย  You ought to enter the contest too.ย  What is it?ย  It’s a giveaway from Uncle John’s Bathroom Reader.ย  I’ve blogged about them before, so I’m sure you’ve picked up one of the plethora of books available from the BRI already.ย  If you haven’t, you now have no excuse, you can enter the contest and get one for free!

In all seriousness, this is my book of choice… before bed, to relax, while waiting for something, and of course on the throne.ย  I love how they’re broken down into short segments of information… sometimes in story form, sometimes like a nice little history lesson, always with a touch of humor.

May times I have leared about something in a Bathroom Reader, then gone right to Google & Wikipedia or the bookstore to learn more.ย  I highly recommend these books!

It’s quite interesting & hilarious.ย  Here’s an excerpt…

I’m gonna have to pick up #8, or ask the wife to get it for me for Christmas or my Birthday… ha ha ha.ย  I love it based on it’s tag-line… “How America is Shaped by its Grossest National Product” — Genius!

I am disappointed however, that the standard by which all bathroom-reading material should be held was sadly absent form the list.ย  What about Uncle John?ย  I have nearly all of their books, and can’t wait until the new ones come out!ย  I was even recently duped into buying an Armchair Reader instead of the Bathroom Reader that was not by Uncle John or the BRI.ย  They’re not written nearly as well, nor are they as informative… yet the covers look eerily similar.

By the way, with all this talk of poop… watch out for El Caganer this year!
